We approached this project with an open mind. From the start, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has not been forthcoming with information about the virus. In the early days of the outbreak, medical professionals who sounded the alarm were reprimanded by police for spreading “rumors.”

When the situation became uncontrollable, the CCP said the virus originated at the Huanan Seafood Market. But when it became clear that patient zero had no connection to the market, the CCP shifted its narrative to suggest that the virus originated in the United States and was brought to China by the U.S. military.

The price of that ignorance, of course, depends upon the subject and the circumstances.

The following video from Stanford’s Hoover Institution helps reduce the degree of our ignorance regarding covid-19, its mortality rate, and the economic consequences of mitigation actions. The decisions regarding restarting the economy by reducing isolation and social distancing cannot be intelligently made without a reasonably accurate knowledge of that mortality rate. Herein, Stanford Professor of Medicine Dr. Jay Bhattacharya helps lift the veil of ignorance that obscures ‘Wuhan Virus Pandemic’ reporting and decision making:

If our decision makers would pay more attention to the likes of Dr. Bhattacharya, perhaps extricating ourselves from this mess would be less emotionally and morally excruciating. Attempting to absolutely minimize casualties from Wuhan will maximize casualties from economic collapse. Some greater number of persons will die by re-starting the economy sooner rather than later. But how many more will not die by doing so earlier? No one has that crystal ball, but you can bet the Dems will damn Trump whichever choice he makes.

As the days go by, it seems evermore likely that the covid-19 virus escaped from one of the two virology labs in Wuhan, China, so the moniker “Wuhan Virus” is becoming evermore appropriate. Here’s what Tucker and Gordon Chang had to say on the subject evening last:

Assumption questioning is always a good policy. Nobel Prize winning physicist Richard Feynman was intensely sensitive to the issue as it related to his personal integrity as a scientist:

… Nature’s phenomena will agree or they’ll disagree with your theory. And, although you may gain some temporary fame and excitement, you will not gain a good reputation as a scientist if you haven’t tried to be very careful in this kind of work. And it’s this type of integrity, this kind of care not to fool yourself, that is missing to a large extent in much of the research in cargo cult science.

Only comment, when I was working on the China scene in the 80’s and 90’s, the pandemic clause that is referenced was standard fare, part of a force majeure. So nothing unusual there IMHO.

That nicely corroborates one of Ms. DiMartino-Booth’s key facts supporting her thesis. The dates quoted regarding the completion of trade negotiations and signing of the agreement are a matter of public record. No need to confirm those. What about the assertion that there were some in the government who as early as November were aware that a viral outbreak was taking place in Wuhan?

Well, FOX News recently published a video segment regarding the Washington Post’s reporting of two 2018 State Department memos that expressed concerns about the lack of adequate safety procedures at a Wuhan lab facility. Sen. Tom Cotton’s earlier remark on that subject was included:

So, there’s little doubt that some in the bowels of the “Deep State” were aware of the outbreak in November of 2019.

Also, turns out the U.S. has been funding research at the Wuhan lab through the auspices of the NIH, National Institutes of Health:

Now, strictly as a matter of principle, I am not opposed to mutually financed and shared research between nations. However, in light of the one-sided commercial and intellectual property relationship we have with China, and the new restrictions on publishing research by the Wuhan virology lab, think it’s time to part company.

Fact is, recent events merely highlight and reemphasize the festering sore, metastasized cancer, that is our relationship with China. That is not an exaggeration nor an egregious xenophobia. In May of 2018, Sen. Marco Rubio told the “greatest deliberating body in the world” just how appropriate the above description is:

That considered, my question is this: Why is there no support of President Trump amongst the Democrats, establishment Republicans and the liberal media in his battle, nay war, with China? He could use a bit in his efforts to save the country from economic disaster and loss of “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

Nor is that any exaggeration.

If there is anything that the Chicoms and American progressives agree on it’s that President Trump is a total pain in the butt and the most serious existential threat to the world socialist order to come down the pike since World War II. After Obama’s Marxism-infusing administration, Hillary’s election would have frosted the cake and put the U.S. solidly in the socialist camp. Unfortunately, apple-cart-upsetter Trump ran for and won the Presidency. Mueller investigating and Pelosi impeaching just didn’t manage to disappear The Donald. Now, have the Chinese come to the rescue? Do what all the Pelosi and Schumer men/women couldn’t do?

The following video postulates that the covid-19 pandemic is not entirely unintended on the part of the Chinese Communists. Interviewee Ms. DiMartino-Booth is reluctant to believe that the Chinese deliberately set out to kill people with the virus. However, the Chicoms have never appeared reluctant to kill people, including their own, and in very large numbers. The facts presented in the video paint a chillingly disturbing picture of the origin of the Wuhan Pandemic. Don’t think that this is just another wacko conspiracy theory. It fits too well with the behavior and objectives of the Democrats and the Chinese Communists.

A former federal prosecutor says the truth is starting to seep out about the Obama Administration’s “brazen plot to exonerate Hillary Clinton” and “frame an incoming president with a false Russian conspiracy,” according to an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Joe diGenova, a former federal prosecutor, connects the dots on former Obama administration Justice Department and FBI officials who may have “violated the law, perhaps committed crimes” to politicize law enforcement and surveillance against political opponents.

He says former FBI Director James Comey conducted a fake criminal investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as they “followed none of the regular rules, gave her every break in the book, immunized all kinds of people, allowed the destruction of evidence, with no grand jury, no subpoenas, no search warrants. That’s not an investigation. That’s a Potemkin village. It’s a farce.”

DiGenova condemned the FBI for working so closely with the controversial Fusion GPS, a political hit squad paid by the DNC and Clinton campaign to create and spread the discredited Steele dossier about President Donald Trump. Without a justifiable law enforcement or national security reason, he says, the FBI “created false facts so that they could get surveillance warrants. Those are all crimes.” He adds, using official FISA-702 “queries” and surveillance was done “to create a false case against a candidate, and then a president.”

In this highly detailed video interview, he holds up an unreported April 2017 99-page FISA court opinion that “describes systematic and on-going violations of the law [by the FBI and their contractors using unauthorized disclosures of raw intelligence on Americans]. This is stunning stuff.”

DiGenova thinks Fusion GPS and Crowdstrike, the DNC’s private security firm, were among the redacted contractors of the FBI.

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes, who knows who the redacted contractors were, may release more information.

Was Fusion GPS pitching and funding journalists to run smear and propaganda campaigns for the Democrats? DiGenova says journalists were definitely paid by Fusion GPS. If it is true, he says, “it’s the complete antithesis of American journalism and the first amendment.”

“Law enforcement is being corrupted and media is being bought,” portends badly he says. Noting the elite media’s supposed outrage about governmental power and institutions during Watergate, diGenova says “the only thing the American journalism community seems to care about now is destroying Donald Trump.”

In the video interview, diGenova discusses the heroism of NSA Admiral Mike Rogers who briefed Trump when he was president-elect, on Nov. 17, 2016 about the controversial governmental surveillance. This resulted, he says, in Trump’s presidential transition being moving out of Trump Tower to Bedminster, N.J., until it could be debugged.

The litigator also discusses the Uranium One scandal, the “tainted” Mueller special counsel investigation and the heroism of Nunes, who is under intense pressure from a united Democrat front.

DiGenova has no doubt that if Democrats gain control in November, there will be an effort to impeachTrump. The Democrats are trying to delay any efforts by Republicans to find the truth.

“It’s important for the House to complete its work now,” he says.
